Track list
Considered to be among Mingus’ best albums, Tijuana Moods was recorded in the summer of 1957. Inspired by a trip to that well-known city of perdition, songs like “Ysabel’s Table Dance” and “Los Mariachis” were meant to evoke the moods of many a man’s tequila-fuelled misadventures there. The Alternate Moods Of Tijuana is an album of alternative takes from that celebrated session, including an early version of the “Scenes In The City” spoken-word piece with Lonnie Elder.
